About

Our story

people-01.png

In 2016, Leah’s entrepreneurial Uncle put us in touch while working on a project with India. We were two fellow Mainers who had returned after years living and working in New York (Leah) and Seattle (India) and were building new lives for ourselves in Portland. We got together for coffee and fell into easy conversation. By 2018, we were collaborating on projects, dragging each other to networking events, and hatching plans for the office space we now share.

Then in 2020, COVID hit and so much of the world as we knew it changed. We wanted to step up our impact and be able to take on bigger projects together. As two independent women we are comfortable working on our own, but believe that working together makes us way more than twice better. We laugh more when we’re collaborating, and our work is better for it. We enjoy not only the sharing of disciplines, but a partnership in strategic thinking and visionary daydreaming backed up with bold, thoughtful execution.

After years of the grind, we have intentionally chosen to redefine success for ourselves and our work: meaningful work where we can be thoughtful and bring our whole selves; energy for our friends and families; space to work on our own creative projects; and time to nourish our minds, bodies and souls. We’ve found it not only brings more joy and belonging into our own lives, but lets us bring our most creative and present selves to our work, too.

So whether India’s trying to get her dog to stay quiet on a video call or Leah’s fumbling with her headphones, what’s most important to us is to find the right people to collaborate with. We can’t wait to meet you and create something amazing together.

Our process

alignment-01-01.png

Alignment

We meet with all key stakeholders to find clarity on the project goals. We ask questions to get to the heart of the "why" of the project and explore existing work to build on as well as any restraints.

exploration-01.png

Exploration

We meet again to really get to know each other and begin the process of both thinking big and editing down. This is where we brainstorm, driven by what outcomes really matter to you.

ideation-01.png

Ideation

We take everything we've learned and shift into the discovery and research process internally. This is where we strip away to the bare essence of the project goals and begin putting pieces together.

revision-01.png

Revision

We present the initial ideas and explorations we've put together, rooted in the "why" of the project. We explain our thinking and process, discuss feedback, and then revise to get to an end result that has benefited from the many perspectives on the team.

execution-01.png

Execution

We bring the deliverables to life, sharing the careful thinking and deliberate work that's gone into the project. This is the big reveal, where larger audiences are impacted by the fresh approach.

reflection-01.png

Reflection

We come back together to review the entire project, looking back on the key learnings and measurements. This phase empowers a looking ahead, and creates a plan on how to move forward and build on the current momentum and growth.
